Kevin and his team at Powell and son’s commercials were fantastic. They were polite, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Taking away a lot of the normal hassle of buying a van and took care of everything for us. The vans are all clean, tidy and well looked after. I would 100% recommend their services and would use again myself.

Kevin was Great. Not pushy at all, made you feel very relaxed, answering all my questions and putting my mind at rest. Nothing was too much trouble. The van I purchased, a Ford Transit Custom, extremely well presented both inside and out.

Came across a nice van while scrolling Gumtree on a Saturday morning, we stopped in to have a look…it was immaculate. So nicely valeted and smelt brand new! Arranging a test drive was super easy. The van drove great and was super tidy so we did the paperwork with Kevin. Our 9 week old puppy was even well looked after! He got all the finance sorted for us and we picked it up a week later. Very little inconvenience for us, Kevin handled everything and kept us well updated. Would definitely get another van from here. Every van they had looked perfect. Highly recommend!

I read the reviews on here before I visited Powells and was impressed. Now I want to add a very heartfelt thank you to Andy and to recommend them 100% to anyone thinking of doing business with them.

I bought a car from them recently which, although they deal in commercial vehicles, they had taken in good faith and sold it to me, also in good faith. Unfortunately it broke down two days after I bought it. Andy immediately offered to take it back and promised he would not return it to me until it was fixed and I was happy.

It was an intermittent fault and they struggled to find it but after replacing an integral part Andy delivered it back to me, some 35 miles away. But it broke down again, and without any hesitation, Andy gave me a full refund… and as he still had my old part exchange car, I got that back as well!

Everything he said he would do, he did, with a smile and extreme courtesy. Powells is a lovely honest family business and I wish Andy and his sons/team much deserved success in the future. Do not hesitate to buy from them.

I bought my new work van (Ex BT Fleet, Vivaro) from Andy in mid June 2023. I was able to reserve the van before viewing with a refundable deposit, as I was then on holiday. Andy continued to stay in contact with me regarding when the van was going to be ready from its bodywork work (colour coding of bumpers) valet and PDI. I arrived at Andys unit to a pleasant ‘hello’ and we were then completely left alone to look around the van and were then able to kindly test drive it. I bought the van that evening and 2 months later I absolutely love it!! The whole buying experience from the moment I read the description of the van online to driving it away from Andy’s unit, was just first class. Andy deals in quality, honest vans at reasonable prices. I can honestly say that this was the best experience (I’m 32 next year) I’ve had of buying a vehicle and I would highly recommend this company to anyone. From the moment I walked into Powell and Sons I knew I was going to buy a van. These guys are just normal people, I didn’t feel like they were salesmen/ladies. There wasn’t any pressure to buy and they made me feel welcome.

I looked at about 10 vans all in all, Andy didn’t make me feel rushed, he was happy to be walk me through each each van individually. He knew his stuff and was 100% honest with everything. I must of been there atleast two hours deciding so I appreciated his patience.

I’ve had the van 4 weeks now and couldn’t be happier. He even called me a week later today and check that all was well with the van. What’s a, Gent.

Purchased a great 62 plate transit van, after searching hours for one that was a decent price and in good condition.
I was so impressed with the van when I turned up I instantly put a deposit down. Once all the paperwork was sorted I collected a very clean and tidy van.
Andy the manager is a pleasant person to talk to and helped me with all my requirements. I will hopefully be getting my next van from him and can’t reccomend this site enough.
